I met Katelyn my freshman year of college in a women's youth prayer group, and I was so honored when she asked if I could be her and Nick's wedding photographer. It's amazing when you just know that a couple is a match made in Heaven. We started the beautiful sunny day taking detail shots at The Woods Golf Club in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The room was simply breathtaking with each table adorned with a single pink dahlia floating in a glass bowl. The light just poured in through the large bay windows overlooking the golf course.

We arrived at St. Bernard Catholic Church, and the beautiful bride looked so at peace and excited for everything to come. Everyone got ready, and before the ceremony, Katelyn had her four maid of honors pray over her. It was such a sweet, tender moment to witness. You could just feel the love and beautiful friendship they share together.

The mass and ceremony showed just how important faith is to Nick and Katelyn. It was heartwarming to see the two holding hands and sneaking side glances and smiles at each other through it all. Their loved ones and friends were so joyful and happy for the newlyweds.

After the group photos at the church, we headed back to The Woods Golf Club and got to zoom around the golf course with golf carts to find some spots for photos. One of my favorite parts of the wedding day is getting to steal the bride and groom away to do couple shots. It's their first moments together as a married couple, making memories and taking their first photos together.

Back inside, we had a delicious chicken and beef tip dinner, with an assortment of desserts, did I mention cheesecake? The speeches were said, the cake was cut, and it was time for the dancing to begin!

Before the first dance, Katelyn and Nick did a washing of the feet ceremony to represent doing service for one another and others. It was also a great way to connect to their first dance. At one point, Nick's dad had to step out on the dance floor to fix Nick's pants because his penguin socks were showing.

I can't think of a better way to begin a marriage, by giving to others and already taking the first step to love, honor and serve each other. Congratulations, and may God bless you and your marriage Katelyn and Nick!
